My career in digital marketing began at Standing Dog Interactive, a leading agency specializing in hospitality and travel marketing where I was an account manager in 2015. During my time there, I gained invaluable experience in developing performance-driven strategies and managing high-profile accounts. I helped build the programmatic display offering that was a key selling feature when Standing Dog was acquired by Wpromote, a nationally recognized independent digital marketing agency at the time, in 2016.
In addition to supporting the programmatic offering, I had the opportunity to contribute to a seamless transition and learn from one of the industry’s most innovative teams. Although it was fascinating to observe the different dynamics of a mid-sized agency going to a much larger independent agency, I noticed some challenges with a bigger team resulting in more siloed and a less varied and strategic work environment. It became much more process oriented, more than I preferred. So, I left.
Following the milestone of this transition, I moved into the world of startups and small digital agencies. I spent some time contracting and then joined a small 8 – 10 person digital marketing agency that I helped grow to $5M annual revenue for 3 years straight.
